Sugar (granulated)

1 cup
Almonds (whole, unsalted)

1/3 cup
Water

- Step 1
Add the water & sugar to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Then allow it to bubble & thicken for 3-5 min. - Step 2
Add the almonds & a pinch of salt. Stir constantly until the liquid hardens around the almonds. - Step 3
Quickly spread the almonds in a single layer onto a sheet of parchment paper. (Feel free to garnish with your favorite ground spices or minced herbs!) Let cool for an hour. - Step 4
Separate the individual almonds, roughly chop them, or eat them in clusters like brittle. Enjoy!
